Something Weird Video was founded in 1990 by Mike Vraney in Seattle, Washington. He was inspired by his teenage job as a theater projectionist. His love for the obscure films that never made it to video prompted him to transfer hundreds of ancient reels of film to VHS and DVD. The company specializes in exploitation/sexploitation films of the '30s through the '70s. Iconic purveyors of the lost and the strange, Something Weird Video, have partnered with Modern Harmonic to bring you 2LPs of the greatest songs and soundbites from their voluminous catalog of filth and general grindhouse fodder. Truly Something Weird indeed.

Electric Ladyland is arguably Jimi Hendrix’s most authentic and personal work, a realization of (as he said in an interview not long after the album’s release) music as “my personal diary—a release of all my inner feelings, aggression, tenderness, sympathy, everything.” To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the final album Hendrix issued during his lifetime, this transparent orange crush numbered vinyl 7” EP collects rare mono mixes of “Crosstown Traffic,” “Burning Of The Midnight Lamp” and “Gypsy Eyes” as featured on the original LP.

"MISTER PEEPERS” is a song steeped in political satire, and was recently written and recorded by Ben Folds for a project in conjunction with the Washington Post Sunday Magazine. The Post approached Folds to write a song that spotlights the art of storytelling, and Folds choose to focus, with research assistance from a Post political writer, on a character currently in the news, deputy FBI Director Rod Rosenstein.
