Track 3 lyrics based on (originally based on Numbers 24:17) for "Es Wird Ein Stern Aus Jacob" from "Christus", Op 97, [a623293], 1847. Phillip Nicholai wrote text and music to a song, "Wie Schon Leuchtetder Morgenstern" published posthumously in 1647. It is possible that the tune was harmonized by [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/95537-Johann-Sebastian-Bach]J.S. Bach[/url] some years later, and that was what [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/623293-Felix-Mendelssohn-Bartholdy]Mendellsohn[/url] used in his oratorio. [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/66361-Jane-Siberry]Siberry[/url] used a small section and expanded it.
