Pre-Order: Bespoke Electrics [180 Gram] - Sergio Salazar

Santiago Salazar has been operating in the deeper frequencies of Detroit and beyond for more than three decades. Originally coming up through the early '90s Los Angeles underground, Salazar relocated to Detroit in the early 2000s, becoming part of the Underground Resistance collective and a member of Los Hermanos, while also contributing to the Galaxy 2 Galaxy universe. As DJ S2, Seldom Seen, and under his own name, he's graced the discographies of Planet E, Motech, Rush Hour, and Seventh Sign, with landmark LP's including Chicanismo and Aspirations For Young Xol. His music has always existed somewhere between Detroit techno, deep house, electro, and machine soul-futuristic, but never detached from the human element.Amar & Puente leads the charge, hitting that sweet spot where late-night Detroit futurism meets deep, emotive house. Warm circuitry, subtle propulsion, and just enough mystery to keep things moving into the small hours. Next up, Breathless strips everything back to the core, unleashing a gnarly electro workout built around raw machine rhythm and maximum club pressure.Flip over for Deep Love. Synths take center stage here, with beautiful drifting pads and twisting analog lead lines weaving their way through a deep, hypnotic groove. Warm, spacious, and otherworldly. Sonar Of The Heart is a straight-up Detroit techno transmission. Four to the floor, classic stabs, locked-in drums, and a groove that needs no explanation. Pure, unadulterated machine music, built for the floor.Closing the EP in fine style, Bespoke Electrics heads deep into emotive electro territory, with a distinct nod to the golden era of early '90s IDM. Melodic and beautifully understated, it is a fitting final signal from a key figure in electronic music.
