Pre-Order: Complete Recordings On Warner Classics - Daniel Adni [CD]

Israeli pianist Daniel Adni (b. 1951) emerged as one of the most remarkable pianists of his generation when he burst onto the international music scene in the 1970s. Renowned for his crystalline touch, poetic lyricism, and stylistic refinement, his extensive decade-long discography for EMI is defined by an absolute fidelity to the score, distilled luminosity, and great sobriety across the Romantic and Impressionist repertoires (Chopin, Debussy, Ravel, Schubert). A recording pioneer, his landmark 1973 complete traversals of Mendelssohn's Songs Without Words and Grieg's Lyric Pieces redefined these cycles, while his 1976 Percy Grainger album earned him a Grammy nomination. Alongside landmark accounts of orchestral film concertos, his legacy remains anchored by his championing of lesser-known British masters like John Field, John Ireland, and Richard Addinsell, representing a singular, uncompromising interpretive voice.
