Pre-Order: Group Therapy [Colored Vinyl] (Wht) - Rubens

White 12-inch vinyl. Group Therapy is the sixth studio album from Menangle's The Rubens, a turn back toward the live, guitar-driven sound the band built their name on, cut together in the room rather than assembled from the synth-led experiments of 2024's SODA. The album traces Sam Margin's path through therapy and sobriety, and the communal, faintly therapeutic business of playing to a room full of people. Led by "Love Me America", following singles "Goanna" and "Are You Getting High". Fifteen years on from a triple j Unearthed demo, the band arrive with five ARIA top 5 albums behind them, including the number one 0202, a Hottest 100 winner in "Hoops", and multiple platinum singles. "A love song to America, but not a simple one. It's about the scale of it's promise, the thrill of chasing something big." Sam Margin. The release aligns with the band's 14-date Australian tour, kicking off 16 October. Coverage in The Music, X-Press Magazine and Noise11.
