3 Poisons - Ingo Swann [LP]

Detroit's Ingo Swann - named after the famously government-contracted psychic - made their presence known with Hunger, a 2025 debut that announced a band with a commanding grip on gothic post-punk. 3 Poisons builds on that foundation while pushing boldly into new territory, weaving EBM influences into an emotional pop framework that feels simultaneously colder and more immediate. Churning synths, deceptively simple guitar melodies that burrow in and refuse to leave, and Chris Liu's cavernous baritone croon anchoring it all. Open-ended meditations on self-discovery and suffering, rendered with cold precision. Featuring former members of Pity Sex and Brave Bird. RIYL: Cold Cave, Lust For Youth, New Order.
