Prison Bitterness - Karakorum [CD]

Recorded at the tail end of a turbulent and exciting era, Prison Bitterness captures Karakorum exactly as they were meant to be heard. Formed in 1969 and rehearsing in a crumbling chapel in the Herefordshire countryside, the band quickly developed a sound that was unconventional, and entirely their own. They became a compelling presence on the UK circuit, playing colleges, clubs, and landmark venues such as London's Marquee and Liverpool's Cavern, earning respect from musicians while remaining a step ahead of industry expectations. This album reflects both the intensity and the frustration of a band pushing against it's limits. Long overlooked, Prison Bitterness finally gives Karakorum's originality, musicianship, and spirit the attention it always deserved.
